Klaviyo

Connect Klaviyo to ask about email campaigns, flows, segments, and subscriber growth.

How do I connect Klaviyo?

  1. In Klaviyo, go to Settings → API Keys
  2. Click Create Private API Key (or use an existing one)
  3. Copy the key — it starts with pk_
  4. In Novica, go to Integrations, click Connect on the Klaviyo card
  5. Paste your key and click Connect
Important: Use a private API key (starts with pk_), not a public key. The public key only has limited access.

What can I ask once Klaviyo is connected?

  • How did my last email campaign perform?
  • What's the open rate on our welcome flow?
  • How many new subscribers did we get this week?
  • Which email flow generates the most revenue?
  • Show me my top segments by size
  • What's our unsubscribe rate looking like?
  • Compare this month's campaign performance to last month

Where exactly do I find the API key in Klaviyo?

  • Log into Klaviyo
  • Click your account name (bottom-left) → Settings
  • Go to API Keys tab
  • Click Create Private API Key
  • Give it a name (e.g. "Novica") and grant at least read access to Campaigns, Flows, Lists, Segments, and Metrics

The connection failed

  • Double-check you're using a private key (pk_), not a public key
  • Make sure the key has the necessary read permissions
  • Try creating a new key if the current one isn't working

Does Novica send emails or modify my Klaviyo data?

No. Novica has read-only access. It can pull campaign stats and subscriber data but can't send emails, create flows, or modify segments.
